Mission/Vision Statement
Mission
To provide the recreational boating public,
at no cost, with easy access to a
state-of-the-art Float Plan; to promote the
benefits of preparing and using float plans; and
to provide the tools and resources for U.S.
Coast Guard Auxiliary, and other boating safety
educators to carry out this mission.
Vision
To make the act of preparing a float plan a
fundamental part of “going boating” for every
recreational boater.
Guiding Principles

the United States Coast Guard's core values
of Honor, Respect and Devotion to Duty and
the highest standards of moral and ethical
behavior.

We are committed to
the efficient and effective delivery of the
float plan and float planning resources and
developing the skills/knowledge of the
boating public and boating safety educators
in the preparation and use of float plans
and float planning tools.

While we are
volunteers, we are bound by the commitments
we make to shipmates and to those we serve.

We will nurture our
alliances with state and local governments,
and with boating safety organizations to
provide improved public service.
